Photograph of a Fokker Tri-motor airplane flying over Los Angeles City Hall, 1929. The aircraft can be seen in the foreground and is making a banking turn to the left. City Hall can be seen below the plane at center and is a large, light-colored building with a tall tower at center. The old Hall of Records and the old Los Angeles County Courthouse can be seen at left, while several more large buildings are visible in the background. The underside of the plane's left wing reads, "5614". The back of the postcard reads: "L.A. City Hall Built in 1928, shown in aerial view, 1929. Note old Hall of Records Building (1910-1973) and Romanesque Revival Country Courthouse (1891-1936) at left-center". Additional information: Originally, the record was captioned as "Ford Tri-motor airplane flying over Los Angeles City Hall, 1929".
