Description
Photograph of Stella Lake at Wawona in Yosemite National Park, ca.1900. A still lake reflects the forest and the people in a mirror image that looks crisp in the bottom half of the image. To the left of center, two people who appear to be women wear lightly colored dresses and hats as the stand on a small pier at the edge of the lake. To the right of center, four lightly colored horses pull a carriage down a winding dirt road while a man in a dark suit controls the reins with a woman sitting on the right and at least three passengers. Tall trees hover above the people with their full branches and dense forest is visible in the background.
