Photograph caption dated October 1, 1959 reads, "Before a crowded and appreciative audience of Valley fashion enthusiasts at May Company Valley, a style show on the motif, 'Fashion Loves a Leading Lady' was presented by Vogue Pattern Co. Local interest in the event was heightened by the fact that the Vogue representative and fashion commentator at the May's event, Pauline Delano, is a North Hollywood resident, living at 11536 Otsego. The style show, comprising 36 costumes, drew such a large crowd, that two separate complete events were held to accommodate all comers. New fabrics, not seen before, were featured, including baby llama and wool and reindeer-hair coat fabric. Miss Delano shown above, center, with models."
