Description
Firemen wage a losing battle against flames at the Hollywood Polar Palace, an ice-skating rink at Melrose and Van Ness Avenues. The rink was destroyed and sound stages at a nearby movie lot were damaged. Photo shows flames enveloping the rink's roof and a tower sign has toppled. Photograph dated May 16, 1963.
