Description
Photograph of a channel cut through Dominguez lands by a flood on the Los Angeles River, about 1500 feet north of Watson Station, 1916. A deep, muddy furrow is pictured at center, many times wider than the shoulders of the man visible to the left who stands within it. Farther left, dry land composes a shelf just above the channel. Photoprint reads: "Harry Merrick Photography. 1901 W. Anaheim -- Long Beach, Calif. Phone Hemlock 6-3291".
