An early photo looking west on 6th Street at Spring Street in downtown Los Angeles. At left is the Grosse Building, which was demolished in 1957-1958, and the Hayward Hotel. In the center is the Freeman Building, site of the head office of Security-First Bank. The Grosse Building housed the Southern Pacific Railroad ticket office. Means of transportation shown are steetcars and horse-drawn vehicles.
