Description
The Hacienda Schoolhouse was located on a flat near Casa Grande in the Hacienda settlement at New Almaden. The student population averaged about 85. Photo mounted on board. On back of board: "John Hancock - miner. Hacienda School. The Old School House. Taken about 1889. From Mrs. W.H. Sumner (Ellen Hancock), daughter of New Almaden miner. Photo by Robt. Bulmore."
