The picture shows 17 ships of different sizes on the water, most of them having high masts and chimneys, some of them with flags hanging from the masts, probably war ships. In the foreground trees and a wall. On the left side the tower of a church building with a clock showing 20 minutes to four o'clock. Imprinted on the image: "1502." Cf. photo no. 1501 and 1503. -- Due to the appearance of the ships this picture was probably taken during the First World War but might have also been taken during the Second South African War.The pictures no. 1501 and 1503 show the same kinds of large ships.
