Photograph included in the Exhibit: Defining Their Identity: The Changing Roles of Women in the Post-War Era as Documented by the Valley Times Newspaper. Photograph article dated August 17, 1960 partially reads, "Pharmacist Lois Kyffin of Van Nuys claims that, though few women enter the field of preparing and dispensing medicines, it is a profession particularly suitable to their natural talents. Mrs. Kyffin entered the field of pharmacy because a scientific course appealed to her. She particularly liked chemistry, but did not want to do work which confined her to a laboratory. Pharmacy afforded her the opportunity to come in contact with many types of people."
