Photograph of the Municipal Palace, Queretaro, Mexico, ca.1905-1910. Trees line the street in front of the three-story structure. Iron railings are at each window. There are people in the street as well as a horse-drawn wagon. Cobblestone lines the main road. In the foreground at left, two lampposts are visible. In the extreme background at center, domes of a large structure can be seen. Movement toward Mexican independence began here. Bottom of photoprint reads: "Beginning of Mexican Independence".
