Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
Men gather to watch a horseshoe pitching contest at Lincoln Park at Ocean and Pacific in Long Beach. The horsehoe pitch is around the edge of a grassy area with a eucalyptus tree. Roque players are playing a game in the area to the side of the horseshoe pitch. Early model cars are parked wheel to wheel along the edge of the park. In the distance an American flag flies close to the beach. The Lincoln Park was renamed from Pacific Park in 1920 and was the site of the original plaza in Long Beach. In the background, center, the Heartwell Building at 19 Pine Avenue is under construction.
