Description
A group of Mayan men carry a casket to its burial site during a funeral service at a cemetery in Patzún, Chimaltenango. Groups of Mayan women, men and children surround the group. Many in the crowd are wearing colorful clothing. The funeral service was for a Mayan civilian who was allegedly killed by guerilleros. Scattered throughout the cemetery are several colorful mausoleums. Un grupo de hombres mayas cargan un ataúd a su sepultura durante un servicio fúnebre en un cementerio en Patzún, Chimaltenango. Grupos de mujeres, hombres y niños mayas yacen alrededor del grupo. Muchos entre la multitud llevan ropa colorida. El servicio fúnebre fue para un civil maya que presuntamente fue asesinado por guerrilleros.Dispersados por el cementerio se observan varios mausoleos coloridos.
