Photograph of an exterior view of the San Pedro (formerly the "Clarence") Hotel, Los Angeles, ca.1903. A plank walkway leads from the left through overgrown grass to the porch of the two-story hotel, where three men can be seen lounging on the porch. A balcony above provides shade for them. The hotel is veneered with clapboard, and features a scalloped gingerbread pattern at its topmost peak. A smaller portion of the building to the left stands perpenicular to the longer portion, along which doors are spaced at regular intervals.
