Photograph of an aerial view of Los Angeles River showing the Santa Fe engine facility at Redondo Junction, 1938. The river runs from the top of the image to the bottom at center. At left, a railroad yard is visible. A railroad roundhouse along with a turntable can be seen in the lower left corner, and several trains are visible. At right, a network of paved roads is visible near the river bank. Photoprint reads: "This photograph is loaned to you. Please return to: Illustrator. L.A. City Planning Dept. Rm.361 F City Hall, Los Angeles, California". As of December 2013, the facility operates as "Amtrak Redondo Junction Maintenance Facility".
