Description
A full-size standing statue purportedly of the revered Sinhalese King Dutugemunu (regency 161-137 BCE); it was missing the two hands when found and now, with recent additions of clothing and adornments, is enclosed in a glass structure. The case, which is illuminated at night, enables one to view the statue without the reflection of the sun.
