2009-0357 In PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM: **qc917.9471 C6, pg. #34 In: Scenes of Santa Clara Valley In the foreground is a lawn area and to the right of center stand s a fairly tall palm tree; directly at the foot of the palm tree are a small child and a woman playing with the child on the grass; by the child is a group of three people, two men and one woman. Handwritten notes record the following: Don Juan Gallegos. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. W. Coe, Master Eben Coe & nurse; on the photograph is written C.W.C. E.L. Beard and step-son Henry Elsworth developed orchard and wheat farm extending for some two thousand acres in and about Mission San Jose in Santa Clara Valley in early 1850's. This tract forms heart of estate of Juan Gallegos in late 1880's. Mr. Gallegos emigrated from Costa Rica, was prominent viticulturist. Charles W. Coe,
