Description
This circa 1900 image shows Sacramento's Federal Building and Post Office, located at the northeast corner of Seventh and K Streets. Just beyond it is the multi-purpose Ochsner building. In the foreground is the Golden Eagle Hotel. Built in 1893/1894, the Federal Building's exterior of Arizona sandstone, earned it the nickname of "Pink Post Office."
