Description
The Malibu Sea Lion was a legendary seafood restaurant on the Pacific Coast Highway. Originally the Las Flores Inn, proprietor Chris Polos purchased the restaurant in the late 1940s. This postcard showcases the newly rebuilt and greatly expanded restaurant, which, it claims, featured the "world's longest ocean front dining room." The Sea Lion as it appears here was lost to fire in 1964, but rebuilt on the same spot. In 1996, it became the site of Duke's Malibu restaurant.
