Description
Photograph of an exterior view of Griffith Avenue School, Los Angeles, 1900. A two-story, Victorian-style boarding house with long, narrow windows stands with its arched entranceway partially obscured by the tree foliage hanging in from the left. It is encapsulated by a wrought-iron fence approximately four feet high. The opening can be seen to the left, behind the tree. A tall square pole with many wires attached to it stands on the sidewalk to the unpaved street, but does not appear to be a utility pole or telephone pole.
