Photograph caption dated June 4, 1963 reads, "Burbank fireman Ray Hickman, left, dishes out hot chow to students Linda Mollman and Tom Palecki. Fireman Ed Adams watches. The city fire fighters cooked and served roast beef dinners (and washed the dishes, too) in appreciation for Burbank public school students' efforts in developing fire prevention essays and posters. Some 15 students won awards Friday at the noon luncheon at Fire station No. 1."
