The four-story wooden building has striped awnings open on nearly every window except for the part of the building at right. A zig-zagging fire escape is visible at right near a parked horse-drawn carriage. Conical towers flank the main part of the building at left. A vacant lot sits beyond the sidewalk in the foreground adjacent to the hospital. A street sign reads: "Hope St. / 15th St.".
