Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on July 25, 1969 states "Easing the Curves - U. S. 50 from Spooner's Summit to Glenbrook near Lake Tahoe is being realigned to remove sharp curves which slowed traffic on the old route. The $1.5 million four-lane roadway project will connect to other four-lane portions and provide an uninterrupted four-lane highway between Carson City, Nev., and Lake Tahoe which can be seen in the background."
