Photograph caption dated May 29, 1930 reads, "Exotic varieties of cacti an succulent plants will be exhibited in a show opening tomorrow under sponsorship of the Cactus and Succulent Society of America. Mary Jo Baird is pictured beside the Peruvian Monstrosa, a weird species of succulent from South America, examples of which will be exhibited at the four-day show in the Ambassador auditorium."
