Photograph caption dated May 18, 1965 reads, "Jimmy Tippet, left, golf commissioner for the East and West Valley Leagues, gives final instructions yesterday to the West Valley prepsters for the 14th annual, 18-hole play finals at the Woodland Hills Country Club. Taft conquered the West Valley teams, while Van Nuys was the victor in the East. The East Valley played at the Encino and Balboa courses."
