Description
Group portrait of Del Monte cannery workers dressed in smocks and caps. The majority of them are women, with the men standing at the back. Many of the women have their hair in short bobs. Lettering on the building reads, "Del Monte Brand Quality / Canned Fruits & Vegetables / Dried Fruits & Raisins." The photographer's stamp on the back is partially faded and is missing the name of the studio. "... Commercial Photographer, 2313 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda." The Alameda location of the photographer suggests this may have been taken in the East Bay.
