Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing the ruins of the twenty million dollar City Hall Building, 1906. A wide street lies in the foreground with the damaged City Hall Building at its end. The left side has lost large portions of its exterior walls and roof and the tall dome at its center has been stripped of its exterior wall. The buildings on the left and right sides of the street have been completely destroyed leaving piles of debris in their places. Men walk toward City Hall on the right side of the road.
