Description
Photograph of machines unloading copra from a ship in Los Angeles Harbor, [s.d.]. In the foreground, two hoppers can be seen, connected by large pipes. A smaller pipe runs from the larger of the hoppers to the deck of a ship in the background. The smaller hopper is poised over an open railroad car, which is connected to a tractor in the foreground at right. Another set of tractors, hoppers, and railroad cars is visible in the background at left, while a stack of pallets can be seen at left as well. The machines unloading the copra were manufactured by W.F. Sutor & Co., and are called Sutor-bilt 1243.
