Description
Photograph of the residence of Don Dolores Yorba, 1899. The one-story house has a covered porch in front where the family enjoys the shade. Dona Altagracia Yorba sits on the left edge of the porch in a dark dress with her hair tied in a bun as she makes Spanish drawnwork. Her supplies and a equipment stand beneath the window behind her. Her father stands against a support beam of the porch at center in a lightly-colored shirt, dark vest and hat. Don Adolfo Manriquez sits in a wooden chair behind him. The lightly-colored paint of the house is peeling and plants hang from the falling edge of the roof. A small, damaged, wooden fence stands on the far left while long fences separate the residence from another house in the background on the right. "Dona Altagracia Yorba making Spanish drawnwork on old loom in front of her father's house. Standing is her father "El Chapo" Don Dolores Yorba. Seated is Don Adolfo Manríquez." -- A. Yorba
