On verso: "View of the Bombardment, July 3, 1876."
In July 1876, Celebration of the Centennial Fourth, a four-day festival included a military review and bombardment in vicinity of the Presidio and Lime Point. Bombardment included Major Hasbrouck, California Light Battery; includes the ships Comanche, Pensacola, Portsmouth, Jamestown, French frigate Gallisoniere, Saco.
