Description: Jane Cody, an inspector at the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. plant, rests her tired feet after walking in the picket line in the strike of 3100 workers at the rubber plant at 2525 Firestone Boulevard, South Gate. The walkout came after negotiators failed to reach an agreement on a new contract before the midnight deadline. Photo dated: August 12, 1954.
