This circa-1922 photograph shows Sacramento's Pacific Coast Championship American Legion basketball team. Standing at left is future Sacramento Solon and Washington Senator Earl McNeely. McNeely, playing guard for the American Legion team, was considered by many to be the Capital City's best athlete of the 1920s. The photograph also includes Joe Mahoney and Frank Assalena.
