Photograph caption dated October 15, 1989 reads, "The Los Angeles Free South Africa Movement will march and rally to mark the United Nations Official Day in Solidarity with South African political prisoners. Assembly at Jackie Robinson Stadium, march to Leimert Park, Leimert Boulevard and Vernon Avenue." Demonstrators are calling for boycotts of companies that do business in South Africa.
