Caroline Eliza Haight Arthur (1837-1874) was born in Monrovia, New York, a daughter of Isaac Chauncey Haight and Eliza Ann Snider Haight. Her family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was a child and moved to Nauvoo, Illinois. In 1847 they emigrated to Utah and settled in Cedar City in 1852. Caroline married Christopher Jones Arthur in 1854, and died in Cedar City in 1874.
