Description
The front of the Crocker Art Museum is bedecked for the holidays in this 1980 postcard, one of many created for the former mansion of Edwin and Margaret Crocker to be sold to visitors wishing to recall or share their visit with friends or relatives. The end of the year and the holiday season have always celebrated with displays and lights at the residence and later museum but from the late 1940s until the 1960s the Crocker offered their own “gifts,” original art rentals with fees ranging from 60 cents to $3.10 per month.
