Pictured is truck driver Edward L. Gannon (left), 45, being booked by officer Steve Miller at Central Jail. The victims, Mrs. Librada Traslavina, 43, her daughter Alicia, 11, son Arturo, 5, and family friend Mauro Baltherra, 45, were killed when they were struck by Gannon's 70,000-pound truck in an East Los Angeles crosswalk on November 14th. Gannon was arrested 6 hours after the accident and was eventually arraigned on four counts of manslaughter and one count of hit and run for leaving the scene without rendering aid or assistance.
