Located at 11 La Linda Drive in Long Beach, the Bixby Ranch House was designed by the San Francisco firm of Coxhead and Coxhead in a Colonial Revival style for George Bixby. Completed in 1890, the house served as the headquarters for the Bixby ranch operations. Containing almost seven thousand square feet of living space, it has nine bedrooms and five bathrooms. It is Long Beach Historic Landmark no. 16.52.330. Rustic furniture is shaded by climbing vines in this view of the pergola at the Bixby Ranch House in Long Beach. Brick columns support the pergola and a swing is attached to one of the beams.
