Mayor Norris Poulson (seated) is shown at a "housing armistice" meeting at which the City Housing Authority accepted his Council-approved program to modify the $110,000,000 public housing program. Standing, left to right on July 9, 1953, are: Howard L. Holtzendorf, Authority director; Bourke Jones and William H. Neal, Assistant City Attorneys; Councilman John C. Holland; Authority Chairman George A. Beavers, Jr.; Housing Commissioner Robert Gilbert; Councilman Don Allen; and Mrs. Susie Clifton, Vice Chairman of the City Housing Authority.
