Description
The SS President McKinley, in port at Seattle Washington. One of several shots taken to show the Kolster Radio Compass and Position Finding, installed on a top deck around 1922. One of at least three photograph taken for Federal Telegraph Company for Kolster Radio Compass advertising. The President McKinley was one of five ships allocated by the US government to the Admiral Oriental Line. Originally named the Keystone State, it was renamed President McKinley in 1922. It cruised the South Pacific from its home port in Seattle.
