Dr. Alvin Marks, a psychologist in Sacramento, who was a pilot and the president of a commuter airline based in Sacramento, Skymark Airlines. He made a record-breaking solo trip around the world in 1969 in his Cessna. Caption: END OF A LONG TRIP--Bearded Dr. Alvin Marks is greeted by his wife Phoebe, left, at the Sacramento Metropolitan Airport after he finished a round-the-world solo flight today. Marks made the flight in 14 days which is said to be a new world record for light aircraft.
