Description
Lee de Forest listens to recorded music with his wife Marie, knitting socks, in their Hollywood home in the late 1940s. The large painting behind them is by Martin Kavel. This painting was awarded the medaille d'Or at the 1922 Paris Salon, and was purchased at that time by Lee de Forest.
