Description
Photograph shows the first house built at Fort Bidwell, California built by Peter Peterson and his brother-in-law Martin Ruble. The two families moved in together October 4, 1864 and lived together for about a year. Upon the arrival of the US soldiers in the fall of 1865 the home was moved.
