Photograph of people standing at the entrance of the Municipal Campground in Elysian Park, ca.1900. Below the center, a group of people can be seen standing next to a gate in the left and a small cabin, with a window and a counter facing the viewer, in the right. There are signs on the gate which read: "GATES OPEN AT 6AM GATES CLOSED AT 11PM", "CAMPERS WILL SEE ATTENDANT FOR SPACE", and "[...] CAMP [...] GATE [?] TO [?]ANT". Additional signs are visible by the small cabin which read: "OFFICE", "STLP(?) OFFICE", and "'STOP' SEE ATTENDANT FOR SPACE BEFORE ENTERING [?]TE". Behind the people, there are tents, parked cars and picnic areas, as well as, cabins located in the background. Tall trees surround the site and a hillside fills in the backdrop.
