Photograph caption dated April 4, 1963 reads, "The Volunteer League of the San Fernando Valley will present its eighth annual Arts and Artists Benefit, a home tour, from 1 to 4 p.m. April 24. 'Lakeside Living' will be the theme of the event, which will feature four Toluca Lake homes. Getting an advance tour of the home of Mrs. Ludlow Flower Jr., center, are Mmes. Gene Bryson, left, North Hollywood; Charles Wilding, Sherman Oaks, and Sidney Gilmore, Toluca Lake. Other homes on the tour will be those of the Robert C. Wians, the Richard C. Simonstons and Miss Sally Forrest. Mrs. Robert Gaugenmaier, Burbank, is chairman of the event."
