Image of an advertisement for Harper's magazine Christmas 1897 issue featuring a man wearing glasses sitting sideways on a bench reading a copy of Harper's; plates, five long smoking pipes and a holly wreath hand on the back of the bench near him with a sign that reads, "Peace on Earth Good Will toward Men."
Date supplied by cataloger based on copy held by the Metropolitan Museum, New York. "Edward Penfield"--text, artist's signature on stone, bottom right of image.
