Photograph caption dated November 9, 1950 reads, "Mr. and Mrs. Gene Nelson of Burbank, left, and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon MacRae, Toluca Lake, were among many screen celebrites [sic] attending the picturized story of the Normandy invasion at Warners Hollywood Theater last night. MacRae, wearing a green plaid dinner packet [sic], did an ultra professional job as M.C. Picture is showing today."
