"On the road between San Gabriel and Lake Vineyard"--text, handwritten on negative. Title transcribed from negative; date and location supplied by cataloger based on caption from image reproduced in San Gabriel by Richard J. Arnold (Arcadia Publishing, 2013), page 35. Lake Vineyard was a property owned by former Los Angeles mayor Benjamin Davis Wilson, chiefly in present-day San Marino.
