Photograph of a group of Hopi Indians bringing green boughs for the Snake Kisi for the Hopi Snake Dance Ceremony in the village of Mishongnovi, ca.1900. Indians can be seen at center as they carry large bunches of tree branches on their backs. Several adobe or stone buildings are visible in a line that extends from the foreground to the background at left. A ladder leans against one in the background. A man on horseback can be seen in the background at right.
