A new St. Patrick's Church opened in 1908 at the corner of Ninth and Santa Clara Streets, the same spot where an earlier church destroyed in the 1906 earthquake had stood. The wood-frame church had a main entrance in the center and a bell tower on the right. Termites and dry rot forced the demolition of the building in 1968.
