Description
Photograph of an illustration of San Francisco's Market Street north from Kearny Street, ca.1890. The streets are lined with shops, which are housed in ornate three- or four-story buildings. Many of the shops on the left side of the street have light awnings in front. There are several pedestrians in the street, as well as two horse drawn carriages and a dog. On the right side of the image is an exotic clock tower(?). Legible signs include, from left, "Dentis[t]", and "Signs".
