Gary Heavin discusses his book, “Curves.” He begins by talking about different popular diets that people are doing today and why they don’t work. He talks about how no one should restrict entire food groups from their diet permanently. Heavin describes that his book is profoundly different than other diet books because it teaches women ways to raise their metabolism. The book also includes an exercise plan and recipes for healthy meals. He talks about how his wife opened the first Curves gym, which is designed primarily for women. Martinson ends the interview by reading a passage from Heavin’s book about the need for a sensible meal plan.
